Being the second part of the Resonances cycle, Resonances (b) focuses on the spatial characteristics of the clarinet, i.e. its acoustic radiation patterns that are composed of compound directivities as perceived from the median, lateral, and transverse planes. Activating these acoustic radiation patterns in relation to embodied spaces, this work intends to trace the sonic-temporal image as well as the corpus of the instrument together with the dispositions of the corporeal reach of the performer, addressing embodiment and space accordingly.
